In Loving Memory of George James Brown
George James Brown, an esteemed educator, devoted husband, and beloved patriarch, peacefully passed away on December 30, 2023, at his home in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Born on September 16, 1937, in Austin, Texas, George's remarkable life was filled with achievements, lasting relationships, and a profound dedication to education.
Congratulations to all schools who made it to the playoffs this year. A special Congrats! to these TREA member District Schools for making it to the Championship Game in their division.

TREA has partnered with the Dee Howard International Education Foundation to provide free STEM presentations and learning resources in the field of Aeronautics. We encourage you to sign up as a participating school district. There is no cost to the District for these resources. Please feel free to distribute as you see fit, as we want our students in small and rural districts to have access to high quality materials in this field.
TREA started a partnership with NKH in 2020, and over the last three years, NKH has awarded $570,000 to rural school districts, many of them TREA Member Districts. The link below is an overview of last year's cohort.
